Phpmyadmin is a fantastic graphical interface used to manage mysql. However by default it will timeout after 1440 seconds. You want more!

Yes you really do want more time when you are working on a project locally, cutting up designs and returning to the database later. Sometimes you forget the login passwords. Damn! If you're reading this blog, then you are having this problem and you just wish I could stop the poetry and give you the solution.

Go to the phpmyadmin folder and look for a file called config.inc.php

Look around for some comfortable space, you choose

Enter this line of code:

$cfg['LoginCookieValidity'] = 36000;

Now save this file and close it before your nephew gets to it. He could wreck your life!

If you are waiting for some more magic to happen, it is all done. Your session will now stay for 10 hours. You can choose to increase or decrease your time as you wish. Just stick in your own figure instead of thirty-six thousand above.
